Jack Davis, the boss blacksmith at the Mansfield Machine Works, died very suddenly on last Tuesday night at his residence on West Johns Street.  He was getting ready to retire when he took a spasm and died in about twenty minutes afterwards.  Mr. Davis was a man of fine physique and this is the first attack of the kind he ever had.
